How to use this Hindi typing tool
- Pick a layout. Inscript is the Mangal font keyboard used in Windows and most exams. Remington Gail uses Kruti Dev typewriter keys. Phonetic turns English spelling into Hindi.
- Click in the box and type. Your normal English keyboard is enough. The tool converts every key into Unicode Hindi, so the result is proper Mangal font text.
- Copy or download. Use Copy for WhatsApp, email or a website. Use Download Word to get a .doc file already set in Mangal. Need the old font for a legacy template? Click Copy as Kruti Dev.

Hindi typing in Mangal font with Inscript
Inscript was standardised by the Government of India for all Indian scripts, which is why the same finger positions work for Hindi, Marathi and other Devanagari languages. Vowel signs sit under the left hand (e gives ा, f gives ि, r gives ी) and the most frequent consonants under the right hand (k क, j र, l त). Mangal font typing with Remington Gail
If you learned on a typewriter or on Kruti Dev, Remington Gail lets you keep that muscle memory. You press f before the consonant for ि, exactly as on a typewriter, and the tool reorders it into correct Unicode. For example fgUnh becomes हिन्दी.
